NEW HOUSE - BRISBANE

The client wished to downsize from a beautiful Queenslander property.  The brief was to capture many of the qualities of their current house but at a reduced footprint - essentially like shrinking clothing in a hot wash.

The client found a great plot of land in the area they currently live however it directly backed onto the trainline and highway.  The client wished to have some external space, so we devised creating a courtyard at the front of the building, which the ground floor would look onto instead of the train line.  The first floor would look over the trainline to the beautiful hills in the distance.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Developing a design with client

- Submitting the design to the local authority

- Working with a local architect to facilitate the building in Australia

- Checking construction issue drawings by the contractor
